About us

Foundrymen first. Suppliers second.

Magna Ferrochem was built by people who pour metal — and still do, every day, in the group's own three foundries. That order of priorities shapes everything we make.

01 — The story

The Samarth Magna Group began in 1995; Magna Ferrochem followed in 1998, focused on one discipline: green sand moulding and risering for ferrous castings.

Over 27 years that focus grew into a full consumables range — lustrous carbon additives, engineered coal blends, exothermic and insulating sleeves, direct-pouring sleeves with filters, and inoculants — supplied to 500+ foundries across western and southern India.

What makes us unusual is the other half of the group: three working foundries of our own. Every Magna product runs on our own moulding lines and through our own molten-metal laboratory before it is offered to a customer. When we say a sleeve extends solidification 2.5×, it's because we measured it on our castings first.

Alongside Magna Industries and Samarth Metallurgicals (resin coated sands), the group today employs 400+ people — a mix of metallurgists, foundry operators and sand-lab technicians who speak your line's language.

Mission

Lead the foundry-consumables market in western and southern India through ethical practice, quality products at competitive prices, and a trained, involved workforce.

Vision 2029

A ₹100-crore brand known for cost-competitive solutions, on-time delivery and a steady stream of new product development for ferrous foundries.

Certifications

ISO 9001:2015 across all units. The group's casting divisions hold IATF 16949 for automotive-grade supply.

02 — The journey

Three decades in the sand.

1995

Samarth Magna Group founded

The group takes root in Kolhapur — India's foundry belt — with its first metallurgical ventures.

1998

Magna Ferrochem incorporated

A dedicated foundry-consumables company for green sand moulding and risering solutions.

2000s

The range fills out

MAGNAKOL, MAGNEX, MAGNIN and MAGNASEED launch; the group's own foundries become the proving ground for every batch.

2010s

Certification & scale

ISO 9001 across all units, IATF 16949 in the casting divisions; the customer base passes 500 foundries.

Today

Three foundries, one lab, 400+ people

The only foundry-consumables group in India proving its products in three foundries of its own — targeting ₹100 crores by 2029.

03 — How we work

Four things we don't trade away.

Customer success first

We measure ourselves on your rejection rate and your yield — not on tonnes shipped.

Ethics, in writing

Transparent pricing, honest datasheets, and claims we have measured in our own plants.

Inclusive growth

A trained, involved workforce shares in the group's growth — 400+ people and counting.

Care for the environment

Cleaner blends, lower addition rates, and responsible handling across all three plants.

04 — The proving ground

Three foundries. One standard.

Grey and SG iron plants inside the group where every Magna product earns its datasheet before a customer ever sees it.

Proving ground

Full-scale trials, daily

New grades and blends run on production moulds — not lab coupons — before release. If it doesn't survive our shakeout, it doesn't ship.

Molten metal lab

Every batch, tested

In-house molten-metal laboratory testing behind each release — composition, density, reaction behaviour, sizing.

IATF 16949

Automotive-grade discipline

The casting divisions supply automotive customers under IATF 16949 — the same traceability culture backs the consumables plants.
